Someone’s looking for you
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
I heard of the film “Amazing Grace” which was set in the late 1700s. Mr. William Wilberforce, a politician, was driven by his faith in Christ to use his money and energy to stop the slave trade.
In one scene, William’s help finds him praying. The help asked, “You found God, Sir?” William turns to him and responds, “I think He found me.”
You may feel lost, like a sheep without a shepherd. The Bible calls Jesus The Great Shepherd of the sheep. He is seeking those who are lost. He’s seeking you!
The truth is God wants everyone to be saved and He desires that everyone will be part of His family, contrary to popular opinion not everybody is a child of God. God is God to all for He is the creator but He is a Father to those who have been found by Him and have been given new life: His life.
If you feel separated from God by virtue of your sin, rebellion, or sheer indifference, or if you’ve never known Him before, God is seeking you. Quit hiding. Call out to Him. He will come to get you where you are.
